Setup & maintenance

Setup your printer

Does your first layer not stick to the bed? Or does it work great, but after a few layers it is knocked of your bed because the nozzle drags over it? Have you got dirty layers or stringing? When your printer gives you headaches, maybe it isn`t setup right or it just needs some maintenance.

Although it is not always abvious, moisture can get in your filament when it is in an environment with a high humidity. And that also makes print look bad or even fail.

Most issues are resolved if your printer is correctly dialed-in and your bed is clean. But also other settings like e-steps, xyz calibration, flow, temperatures and retraction settings are important. If you have trammed/calibrated your printer, cleaned the bed and checked your filament for moisture, you probably solved most of your problems.
