3D printing

My current setup

I bought my first 3D printer end of februari 2022. So I am pretty new to this 3D printing world.

My first printer I bought was the Creality CR10s Pro V2. I only use this printer for PLA and TPU. I used it stock for quite some time. For the stock hotend I did Luke`s Hotend Fix. In April 2023 I updated the stock hotend by a MicroSwiss All Metal Hotend, replaced the extruder by an Orbiter 2.0 in DirectDrive mode and added a Hero Me Gen7 fan duct. I made a simple enclosure for this printer. More info on the enclosure is found here.

The Ender 5 Plus I bought second hand. This one was my ‘Project Printer’. Well, it has been a real project though.
This printer is mainly used for printing PETG. But also for ABS and ASA. Because ABS/ASA should be printed in a heated environment, I placed 2x 100Watt heaters in the printer compartment. Electronics do not like heat, so all electronics were moved to a dedicated compartment with its own cooling.
In March 2023, the Ender 5 Plus was upgraded with an E3D Hemera Direct Drive. More info on the enclosure and the E3D Hemera and firmware is found here.

Both printers are network connected by Octoprint on a Raspberry Pi 4b 8Gb. A little overkill for Octoprint. I can now easy  view status of the prints and control the printer.

Next to printers and Octoprint, I always use a eSun eBox for printing. There is one for each printer. Before I start printing, I put my filament in my Tutti Frutti food hydrator. It can be set for 45c (PLA), 55c (TPU), 65c (PETG) and 70c (ABS) for 4 to 6 hours.
